New Album - Mid June 2009!
Current mood: pleased
That's right, mid-June 2009 The Supernashwan Kids will finally be releasing a second album: "No Idols".

We'll be doing some good old get together launch gigs, ther'll be new music up on here and all things Nashwan will generally be singing again.

It's been a long time coming and alot of hard work. Following the footsteps of the last album, we made tyhis one even more ourselves. It was made on a budget of pretty much fuckin nothing. It's produced by yours truly and it's recorded exclusively in three locations: our warehouse practisebase, my garage, my bedroom. Punk. Rock. There's a gallery of photos to this effect floating around somewhere on facebook. I'll see if I can port it over here.

It's a far more honest album than "Turn on. Engage." was in pretty much everyway.

Hope you guys like it - we're quite proud.

About...
The Super Nashwan Kids are a group of inspired kids who believe in powerful music. Music for fashion is music without passion, and passion to this band is everything.

They play music that dosn't always take itself too seriously but they're serious about the music they make; to create a reaction in the listener, however ambiguous it may be. Whether it galvanises, challenges, inspires thought or aggression, simply makes you smile or makes you frown, relates, makes you want to listen a little closer or just makes you want to dance - it tries to DO something. Above all, it's a genuine and whole-hearted expression, of whatever kind, that they put everything into; that tries to be an antithesis to the fake, lack lustre, opportunist or half-hearted mediocrity that surrounds us. Otherwise what's the point?

Based in London, and having been taken on by Blue Mountain Music (U2, Bob Marley, Kano), the Kids are still constantly learning from, and being inspired by all the exeptional music and bands that do already exist around us, and are now working hard on creating a powerful debut album whilst continueing to carve a place for themselves in live music with an ever improving, adept, and rarely rivaled live show: surprising and impressing eclectic crowds of all ages and sizes through very tight, very passionate, very kinetic and just plain funky punk performances. Is there any other way? They beleive that it's worth putting in the time and effort, to claim to be worth yours.
